Install an operating System

1. Preparation

  • Luckfox-Lume board
  • USB Type-A to Type-C data cable
  • 100M/1000M Ethernet cable and router
  • USB-to-TTL module
[Tip]

The default baud rate of Luckfox-Lume is 115200. It is recommended to use serial modules such as CH343, FT232, or CP2102.

2. Driver Installation

  1. Download the Allwinner flashing tool PhoenixSuit.
  2. Open the PhoenixSuit\Drivers\AW_Driver folder and install the driver by running InstallUSBDrv.exe. Restart your computer after installation.
  3. After successful installation, the device will appear in Device Manager.

3. Image Download

Luckfox-Lume supports Buildroot images. Users can download the appropriate image based on their requirements.

Image naming convention:
(Board Model) - (System) - (Storage Medium) - (Release Date)

  • Board Model: Luckfox-Lume
  • System: Buildroot
  • Storage Medium: SPI NAND Flash

4. Image Flashing (Windows)

  1. Open PhoenixSuit and load the image file to be flashed.

  2. If the board was already connected to the computer during driver installation, disconnect it first.

  3. Press and hold the FEL button on the board, then connect the board to the computer. A prompt window will pop up—click YES to start flashing.

    [TIP]

    Even though the board is connected, PhoenixSuit may still display "No device detected" in the lower-left corner. This is normal behavior and differs from how Rockchip devices are recognized in MaskROM mode.
